Sport Innovation & Culture
The Sport Innovation & Culture (SIC) certificate is designed to develop future innovative leaders in the sport business and entertainment management industry. Open to all majors, it provides a unique curriculum that includes foundational work in the study of sport, a focus on innovation and diversity within the industry, and an examination of the inextricable link between entertainment industries and hip-hop culture.
Public Relations professionals help businesses or individuals build and manage relationships with various publics through communications, websites, traditional media, social media, and in-person engagements. In this pre-professional program, you will work with clients, build a portfolio, and gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to succeed in a rapidly changing industry. Once your coursework is completed, you will focus your individual goals by completing one or more public relations internships to gain the professional experience necessary to launch your career.
