Bachelor of Media Arts
The BA in Media Arts offers an undergraduate education that prepares students for a wide range of professional opportunities in planning, writing, producing, and distributing media content. Media Arts students are encouraged to use internships to develop skills and expertise under the guidance of trained professionals. Students also gain experience and build portfolios through participation in student activities, including the Arbiter newspaper, Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), University Pulse radio, and University Television Productions.

Journalism and Media Studies Emphasis
Students navigate relationships between media and democracy through a focus on exceptional writing skill, critical, pragmatic, and innovative thinking, and the creation and analysis of media practices and products.
Media Production Emphasis
Students communicate with audiences through the creation of audio, video, television, multimedia, digital imaging, motion graphics, and web content.
Public Relations Emphasis
Students develop skills as they critically examine the public relations industry, practices and products as they prepare for a career in the field.
