Our reigning Pi Kappa Delta National Champs were selected to compete in the Comprehensive Tournament at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, on March 16-20, 2016.

Most impressive are the numerous individual awards the Boise State Speech and Debate won, along with a first-place team finish in public debate. They finished fourth out of 2,300 entries, 87 schools from across the nation – including fellow Idaho competitors College of Western Idaho and Idaho State University!

“The national comprehensive tournament is a free-for-all,” said Manda Hicks, director of forensics. “You have competitors from all of the different speech and debate organizations – some of them dedicated Lincoln-Douglas debate programs, others high performance individual event schools. To be in that top four is quite an accomplishment.”
