Info For Internship Providers

The Department of Communication and Media welcomes businesses and not-for-profit organizations to provide a dimension of our students’ education through internships. This is vitally important and cannot be duplicated in the regular college classroom. We thank you for your commitment. If you have reason to seek a Student Intern for an open position or a special project, you can post your position through Bronco Jobs. As supervisor you might be interested in perusing the Internship Guidelines SP13 for the step-by-step method used by the student to maneuver through the internship process.

A student must have attained a cumulative grade-point average of 2.75 or higher to enroll for internship credit. Be sure to specify any professional preparation qualifications required for the internship you wish to offer.

Credits: Students are charged the regular fee per credit to participate in internships. Each internship credit equates to approximately 45 hours, so a student completing a three-credit internship will commit approximately 10 hours per week over the course of a semester. Freshmen and Sophomores are discouraged from applying for internship credit.
