The application deadline is February 15, 2017
Making an application to both the Boise State University Graduate College and the M.A. in Communication Program is centralized in one online application system that you can initiate on the Graduate College’s how to apply page. This online application system is unique as it allows applicants to create an account, begin the application process, save an incomplete application, and continue at a later time.
1. Create an Account
Go to the Graduate College how to apply webpage, click on the appropriate “Apply” button to create an account and establish log in information.
2. Apply to the Graduate College at Boise State University
The first part of the online application process requires payment of appropriate application fees and making requests for official transcripts to be sent to Boise State University. During this process, please select “MA in Communication” as the program to which you are applying. The Graduate College will make an assessment of minimum admissions requirements.
3. Apply to the M.A. in Communication Program
The second part of the online application process requires providing additional materials used to make an admission decision to the M.A. in Communication. The online application system will ask you to upload a statement of purpose and a writing sample, provide information on communication theory and methods courses taken, and submit contact information for three letters of recommendation. Also, if applying for a graduate assistantship, you will be asked to upload an additional assistantship statement of purpose. For more information see the Communication Program Application Requirements.
